Senior Thesis Title:  The Importance of Christ’s Lordship

Senior Thesis Statement:  Being a true follower of God means denying yourself and taking up the cross of Christ everyday, fully surrendering to his Lordship.

Brief Description of Senior Thesis:  Is it possible to have Christ as your Savior but not submit to him being Lord? No. Being a true follower of God means denying yourself and taking up the cross of Christ everyday, fully surrendering to his Lordship. Living for oneself, fulfilling the persistent fleshly human desires that are contrary to God’s best for us, often leads to emptiness. In order to live our best life according to his will, we must submit ourselves to Christ’s ultimate Lordship. Recognizing Christ needing to have complete Lordship over your life is crucial, but without acting on it, it has no value. Christ points to this essential aspect all throughout the Bible. He reveals that fully surrendering to Him provides the ultimate freedom one could ask for. 

Post Graduation Plans:  To go to dental hygiene school at Concord in Memphis

What advice or encouragement would you give to younger students at Westminster? Do not just prioritize school, prioritize things outside of school that help shape and grow you, like family.

Favorite Bible Verse:  “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7).

Prayer Request:  That I will continue to follow Christ and put my trust in Him in every decision
