Senior Thesis Title: Reforming Institutions responsible for Child Development in the Twenty-First Century

Senior Thesis Statement: Is our modern world a bad environment for young children and their development? Yes, children are greatly affected by the poor decisions being made in today’s fast-paced world of technology and influence.

Brief Description of Senior Thesis:. Over the past century, the concept of childhood and the process of child development have undergone significant change. Once grounded in traditional values shaped by family, church, and community, the upbringing of children has shifted. Today, the authority of these traditional influences has weakened as societal norms have evolved and as technology increasingly mediates the relationships between children, parents, and the world around them.
