Senior Thesis Title:  Scripture, Women, and the Church: Does The Modern Church’s View of Women Line Up With Scripture?

Senior Thesis Statement:  As a result of misinterpreted Bible verses about gender equality, the church’s view of women does not align with Scripture.

Brief Description of Senior Thesis:  The church’s perception of women is misconstrued, and therefore not aligned with what the Bible says about them. In the Bible, women are considered equal through examples of strong female leaders and Jesus’ treatment of women. However, the church’s treatment of women today does not correspond with what the Bible teaches. In Scripture, women have countless God-given roles that should be applied to the church today.

Post Graduation Plans:  To study psychology at the University of Mississippi

What advice or encouragement would you give to younger students at Westminster? While learning is important, make sure to take time outside of school to have fun and do what you love. Prioritize your mental health, and don’t let education be your whole life.

Please share a funny memory or highlight from your time at Westminster: A funny memory I have from Westminster was when we all had to walk outside to the use the porta potty when the regular bathrooms broke down.
