Senior Thesis Title: 
The Good Seed: Classical Christian Education

Senior Thesis Statement:  Classical Christian education is the most valuable method of education in the modern world because it nurtures the growth of wisdom and holiness in the minds and souls of students.

Brief Description of Senior Thesis:  One of the foremost ways in which classical Christian education fosters the development of wisdom and holiness in the minds and souls of students is through instructing them on how to think well and express their thoughts with eloquence. Another way it achieves this is through providing students with a proper framework for understanding the nature of God and man. Finally, classical Christian education inculcates wisdom and holiness in the mind and soul of the pupil by bringing forth core virtues and values which will guide his entire life.

Post Graduation Plans:  To major in biochemistry on a pre-med track at Hillsdale College

What advice or encouragement would you give to younger students at Westminster? Pursue truth, goodness, and beauty in all of your endeavors at Westminster, for these are the greatest ideals which a student can seek after. Be diligent in your studies and attentive in class because what you are learning is both important and valuable in and of itself. However, do not become so focused on academic results that you lose sight of the joy and fellowship occurring all around you. Rather, have grace with yourself and study so that you might more fully enjoy the knowledge of God and understand the meaning of His truth. 

Please share a funny memory or highlight from your time at Westminster: It would have to be watching the sun rise through the Waffle House window on the morning after Protocol. It was Sophomore year and most of the guys in my class went there for breakfast after spending the night wide awake at Matthew’s house. We were completely delirious and laughing hysterically the whole time. 

Favorite Bible Verse: “Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me” (Matthew 16:24).

Prayer Request:  Please pray that I might grow in my faith while at Hillsdale College. Also please pray that I would find a Christian community to fellowship with while I am in attendance there. Overall, please pray that the will of God be done in my life and that I might follow the image of Jesus Christ wherever life takes me.
