Senior Thesis Title:
Extremism in the Internet Age: Examining the Alt-Right Pipeline

Senior Thesis Statement:  The alt-right as it exists on the internet leads young, impressionable people down a path of radical extremism, obscured by humor, that is detrimental not only to the minds of those that are a part of the movement, but to others around them when they ultimately turn to violence.

Brief Description of Senior Thesis:  With the meteoric rise of alternative conservative platforms in the wake of Donald Trump’s presidency, the alt-right has gained a great deal of notoriety through humor, memes, and irony. However, though at first a joke, the alt-right has led many young impressionable men down a path of hatred that ultimately leads to violence towards others.

Post Graduation Plans:  To study computer science at the University of Mississippi
