The Importance of an Athlete’s Mental Health

Senior Thesis Statement: 

The mental health of athletes is just as important as their physical health.

Brief Description of Senior Thesis: 

Mental health is a very common topic in today’s age. However, within athletics, the physical health of athletes is glorified while their mental health is often pushed to the side. Sports are mental as well as physical. A system needs to be developed to help improve the upkeep of an athlete’s mental health throughout high school to professional level athletics.The mental health of an athlete is just as important as their physical health and therefore should be treated with as much care.

Post Graduation Plans: 
To study at Arkansas State University to become a physical therapy assistant. 

What advice or encouragement would you give to younger students at Westminster?
Things will get difficult, but know that it will be worth it in the end and prioritize your relationships.

When the pipes were broken, we had to use the portable bathrooms.
