Senior Thesis Title: Psychology and Faith: the Beautiful Truth and False Dichotomy
Brief Description of Senior Thesis: My thesis explores the relationship between psychology and the Christian tradition as it applies practically in professional counseling. Biblical counseling, while dependent upon many individual factors, should be approached from a Biblical restorative worldview while utilizing effective psychological methods with the intent of restoring rightful relationship with God, others, creation, and self.
College Choice OR How you plan to spend next year? Mississippi College
Intended Major or field of work after Westminster: Psychology
What advice or encouragement would you give to younger students at Westminster? When your school work seems overwhelming and every night is made up of hours and hours of homework, remember why Westminster exists. Your teachers love you and the subjects they teach. Every single math problem you work and page that you read was assigned that you might learn to love learning and through this love our creator. There is joy to be found in the toil if only you look for it.
Please share a funny memory or highlight from your time at Westminster:
The choir trip to Dallas during my freshman year and the senior Italy trip.
Favorite Bible Verse: “And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14).
Prayer Request: Please pray for me as I make my final college decision and that I as I assume greater freedom and responsibility I would seek God’s will and not my own.
Praying for you as you enter a new phase of your future. You are a beautiful young lady, inside and out. Continue to stay strong and follow your heart. You are definitely going places.
