On Friday, Upper School students finally revealed their identities to their Grammar School partners as part of this year’s Secret Santa event. This student-run event is more than just a time for crafts and fellowship. Building on last year’s partnership with Su Casa Family Ministries, students were able to move beyond simply giving gifts and positively impact the greater Memphis community by collecting over $500 for donations to the ministry. The aim of Su Casa is to “glorify God and advance His Kingdom by ministering to the spiritual, physical and social needs of Hispanic residents in the Memphis area.” A group of faculty and students visited Su Casa earlier in the year, and learned more about the specific needs of the ministry. Based on their requests, the funds collected during the Secret Santa event that will go towards purchasing educational supplies, food, and toys to bless the ministry.
