Using Math to Gain the Edge in the Skittle Contest!

Last year, Mrs. Dougherty’s class used estimation and geometry to guess the number of Skittles in the jar, one of the many ways that students participate in our annual fundraiser, renamed this year to FundFair Carnival. This year, her 5th graders are at it again!
