The major dramatic production of 4th grade comes in late February, but just two weeks into school, with less than a week to memorize lines, 4th graders have already staged a play about the life of Augustine, a 4th century AD theologian who, according to a 1989 TIME article, is the most influential Christian thinker of all time, after Jesus and Paul. Augustine’s journey to faith, which he detailed in his most famous works, Confessions and City of God, took him from a life of immoral pleasure-seeking to an intellectual and passionate love of Christ: “Our hearts are restless until they can find rest in You.”
Bravo to both Mrs. Wells’s and Mrs. Culp’s classes!
