Senior Thesis Statement: Affirmative action fails to effectively address the issue of educational inequality and would be better replaced with improved education in impoverished schools in the form of classical didactic methods.
Brief Description of Senior Thesis: Affirmative action exists to create opportunity for the underserved and underprivileged. While many have benefitted from this policy, many more have not. In fact it has created more problems and challenges in educational institutions and also amongst the minorities it intended to serve. This thesis will not only demonstrate the problem but also provide a vision for policies that avoid discrimination altogether.
Plans: To double major in political science and social work on a pre-med track*
Bible Verse: “If you really fulfill the royal law according to Scripture, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself,’ you are doing well. But if you show partiality you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors” (James 2:8-9).
Prayer Requests: Please pray for me as I seek the Lord’s direction for college and also for my transition to this wonderful new phase of my life.
