What advice or encouragement would you give to younger students at Westminster? Keep your eyes fixed on the Lord and be excited for the future, but cherish the little moments along the way. God seems bigger the more you pay attention to the small blessings in each day.
Please share a funny memory or highlight from your time at Westminster and appreciate: When we were in 8th grade, Mr. Dillon was our French teacher and we had videos to help us learn some of the vocabulary and such, but we always begged to watch them because they were basically French teen soap operas!
Senior Thesis Title: Refocusing Our Worship on Things Above
Senior Thesis Statement: Can a person spend their life without worshipping anything at all? No. Worship is an unavoidable necessity of life, and our society has lost sight of how we are to truly worship.
Brief Description of Senior Thesis: Our world today puts hope in things that fail, but as Christians we have the chance to focus our thoughts, words, and deeds on the Lord who remains the same yesterday, today, and forever. This means our ways of worship have to shift. To sincerely worship, every person must eliminate multitasking, take time to truly rest, and gain more knowledge of what or whom they worship.
Post Graduation Plans: To attend Auburn University to study Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Business.
Favorite Bible Verse: “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:13-14)
Prayer Request: Please pray for courage to share the gospel and build new relationships as I go into college.
