Senior Thesis Title: Education Through the Arts
Senior Thesis Statement: As a collective culture, we need to actively pursue the study and inclusion of beauty in not only all walks of life, but also specifically to be taught in the formative years of youth.
Brief Description of Senior Thesis: Modern education lacks a vital aspect of what makes humans unique. Beauty, through the arts, is not only good but should be a necessity in the consideration of the upbringing of future generations. I will articulate my arguments by showing the benefits of classical education, how parents can teach their children through beauty, and the vital importance of beauty in the everyday.
Post Graduation Plans: To study engineering at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville
Favorite Bible Verse: “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4)
Prayer Request: That as I go through the world I should not forget the purpose God has for me in all that I have received. That the rays of God’s goodness shine through me like a lighthouse shines through the dark, capturing the eyes of its captain and leading those lost souls to the shores of the Lord, revealing to him His goodness and nature. That I do not succumb to the temptations of others, that I may have wisdom in my decisions, that I may have courage in my actions, and that I may have grace in my failures. And even if I may not know my purpose in this life, I should serve it to its fullest extent, and play my role as God has designed, to be as Job in hardship; to serve Him with steadfast faith.
