Senior Thesis Title: Voiceless Victims: Understanding the Causes and Ethics of Animal Abuse
Senior Thesis Statement: We have taken our dominion over animals farther than God’s intended purpose.
Brief Description of Senior Thesis: Animal abuse and overuse is driven by a demand for convenience, ease, and profit today. These practices typically go without consideration of the animals’ well being, ignoring the ethical implications and straying from the correct use of our dominion–as depicted within religious teachings. This heavy exploitation questions if our current use of animals honors the intended balance of life as well as our responsibility to be stewards of God’s creation.
Post Graduation Plans: To attend the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and study nursing.
Favorite Bible Verse: “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” (Isaiah 40:8)
Prayer Request: That going into college and being in a new city will be a smooth transition.
