Favorite WA tradition:
My favorite tradition is Upper School Field Day, because of all the bonding that happens, within and between Houses and grades.
What advice or encouragement would you give to younger students at Westminster? Don’t procrastinate or try to be perfect; just enjoy the people around you. Build relationships and glean knowledge.
Please share a funny memory or highlight from your time at Westminster: In tenth grade, the Science Olympiad competition was virtual, so we spent the day in the Upper School, taking tests on chromebooks and videoing build events. Almost every event had some sort of disaster, but it was one of the best competitions because we all just ate snacks and goofed off together.
Senior Thesis Title: The Musical Diet of a Christian
Senior Thesis Statement: The music we listen to affects our minds and souls, so we as Christians must be especially cautious and thoughtful about what we allow to enter.
Brief Description of Senior Thesis: Christians- particularly teenagers- listen to unwholesome music, affecting both mind and soul. Not only can content harm our hearts, a constant stream of music prevents Biblical rest and contemplation. We must practice moderation and self-control to achieve a balanced musical diet, intentionally worshiping God and creating beauty through music to glorify God with how we listen.
Plans: To study Biology at Davidson College to someday go into neurogenetics research.
Favorite Bible Verse: “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8
Prayer Request: Please pray that God would give me grace to find godly friends, wisdom to make godly decisions, and strength to stand by both.
