Favorite book read at WA: Of Mice and Men
Favorite WA tradition:
The Capstone Italy Trip. It’s a wonderful way for the students to see not only a culmination of their education at WA, but a way to see the glory and wonder of the creativity that God gives artists, historians, architects, etc.
What advice or encouragement would you give to younger students at Westminster?
Look for the beauty and mercies that come with everyday life. Thank God for letting you live another wonderful day and appreciate the blessings that He has given you through your education, this school, and the people that teach you and love you so that you may grow.
Please share a funny memory or highlight from your time at Westminster:
The 2023-2024 House Retreat. It allowed me and other juniors at the time to grow closer to lots of seniors and ended up forming strong bonds and friendships that are still very strong to this day.
Senior Thesis Title: Halt the Suicide of Humanity
Senior Thesis Statement:
Although the task of having children and raising them is a very difficult one, it is God’s command to us and a responsibility that we have as stewards.
Brief Description of Senior Thesis:
A large portion of culture today is quick to assert that having children can be a hindrance to living the “ideal life.” We as Christians, however, must realize that God’s commands are more important than the voice of culture. We must obey God’s command to be fruitful and multiply. Through this we can recognize the importance of His command, discover the joy and wonder that come with obeying His command, and become aware of how pain and suffering can allow us to grow in ourselves as well as closer to Him.
Plans: To study Fine Art at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville
Favorite Bible Verse:
“The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.” Psalm 19:1
Prayer Request:
That I will find a loving, caring community that allows me to see the Lord more in everything that I do. Also for my family, and especially my mom, as I am the first to leave the house, that we will all adjust well as a new chapter begins.
